Negativity is like a thief. It can steal your dreams, it can steal your actions, it can steal your life. If you start saying negative things about a situation, you can start thinking worse and worse about it.

I’m not meaning that we can’t be honest about things and how things really are. We have to do that… the Bible even says to “Test the Spirits” about things. That means that some things are just not right, some situations are just not right. We do have to be honest. But we DON’T have to get on a roll and start going on and on about all of the negative things going on in a situation.

We actually need to face it, feel it, and forget it and move on. That’s how we learn to conquer things. We don’t carry a big bag of negativity around with us through our life about every bad thing that has ever happened to us. We need to choose to not be a victim and not think like a victim!!

We have to learn to turn a negative to a positive. We can do that!! It’s not always the easiest thing to do, but we do have choices. Sometimes it doesn’t feel very comforting to be the big person and let negative things go, but it is so, so worth it in the long run!! Positivity breeds more positive things and the same with negativity.

We have to choose life!! We have to choose what’s best for us!! We don’t have to be perfect in doing this.. it’s progress not perfection!! We have to start someplace just noticing what our thoughts are and take them captive so they can’t steal things from us!!

I encourage you to start today!! Chase those negative, nagging thoughts out of your mind and out of your day!! You are worth it!! You are worth good things!! You are worth the best!! Don’t give up on positive dreams that you have had, that haven’t taken place yet…write them down!! Pray one more time for it to happen!! It is never time to give up on anything that God put in our heart!!

Keep knowing that you can do it!! No matter how big or how small!! Don’t let those negative thoughts steal your joy!! Enjoy the journey!! Success is not only the destination, it’s more about the things you learn along the way!!

Just thinking a lot about the verse Proverbs 13:12 “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” This scripture is really something to think I about. If you keep dreaming and dreaming for things and they never come about, you finally give up.

I wonder how many people that live out on the streets kept trying and trying and dreams kept falling through so they finally just stopped trying. They finally said, “Ok, I don’t even want a home anymore! I don’t care if I have to live in the cold, at least I won’t be expecting anything and won’t be let down again.”

That is sad and I could see some of that in myself. The battle would get so hard sometimes it was just easier not to expect anything or even ask for anything. The bad part about being that way is that you stagnate…your creativity starts dwindling, your passion about life starts dwindling.

We have to keep fighting for change and things to look forward to. Even if you go do anything just a little different than normal to keep moving forward!! Go to different places, different scenery, anything to bring about change in your life.

We can’t expect someone else to do it for us, we have to produce change ourselves. We have to keep ourselves (with God’s help) from falling into awful ruts. Some people have no problem taking great care of themselves but others have to fight to remember that they matter and are important and have dreams that are important and matter in this world.

I am so grateful to be getting some momentum in some of these things finally and moving forward!! We have to be grateful everyday for things in our life because it is easy for stinkin thinking to enter in and hold us back from moving into our destiny!!

Keep your eyes open, don’t get distracted!! Keep your love, joy and forgiveness going. Don’t get isolated!! There is a big world out there and many things that you can be so passionate about!! Leave your footprint wherever you go! You can change the atmosphere around you by just being you.

Sometimes it is just time for Shift!! Shift is the same thing as change, and change is good!! Just because something has been done the same way for 80 years doesn’t mean it’s supposed to stay that way.

I actually had to take a risk and mention something to someone that I thought might be able to be done in a different way!! Guess what? They actually listened to me and thought I might be able to offer an idea! Can you imagine it?

We are actually going to have a meeting and talk about it. I have lived over a decade with lots of creative ideas floating around in my head about things and if I mentioned it, I was sort of invisible. Well apparently that day is over now! I know the other must have been a pruning process to know it’s not about me, which I got it and I get it!! Loud and clear!!

But there comes a day when someone actually needs to hear and is desperate to hear your ideas!! Yes keep on seeking God and don’t give up and that day will come!!

No rush, I suppose, because you don’t want to miss the lessons during the process! Dying to self is quite a process. Then one day, when you least expect it, “Shift happens!!” Yayeee!!

The more things you had to go through in the process, the more excited you are about the SHIFT and the more you know it’s only God working through you, and not you!!

Even if you get no’s and rejection, don’t take it personally, it doesn’t mean you don’t have something good to offer, just embrace the lesson and don’t give up!!

I know you have something valuable to offer this world, everyone created does! Start creating something out of nothing if you have to! You are valuable, you have a voice, and you are worth it!!

If God has given you a dream don’t give up on it, you could even change many lives with your dream!! If you have failed at something several times, that is probably the thing you need to help others with!!

Listen to those around you, it might change your life! Sometimes it’s the quietest voice that needs to be heard the loudest!!

God uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise!!

Always remember that verse! Someone told me to always remember that years ago and I have and it’s true!!

Some of the things I am writing about are some of the things that will be in my book. Love is a very pure thing, a give and take equally thing. Both people have the same interest in the relationship, without manipulation and lies.

Sometimes a person can be very manipulative in your life and keep calling you their best friend, or whatever until you think they are your best friend. This is not love, this is manipulation and codependency. This is a distraction from someone that is needy.

Im not saying to just ditch this person, I’m saying to make sure there are proper boundaries in place so they don’t steal your identity. How would I know about this? It has happened to me. I’m onto it now, though.

My personality is one that God gave me and the enemy would like to distract me and get me to a place where I’m not sure who I am. Of course friendships and relationships are a wonderful gift from God, but if someone is being controlling and manipulative it is not a gift at all.

That’s why it’s so important to speak into children’s lives about who they are. If they learn very early who they are they won’t stray far from it. Trauma can taint who we are. Especially trauma not dealt with in our life.

Everyone is redeemable and changeable! With God ALL things are possible!! We have to be teachable, moldable, and pliable. When we are those things, we can grow, change, and flourish.

That is good material for a good friend or spouse or anything in our life. Are they teachable, moldable, and pliable? Then you can work together with each other with honor for one another. The place that I have learned to do this the most is at recovery meetings.

My goal is to bring those principles into the church. It could make people understand how to walk in unity more and honor one another’s differences!! That’s what God wants. He wants us all to be unique individuals walking together, hearing each other’s voices, listening, taking what you can from each person and respecting how different they are from you.

In a dysfunctional world, everything that comes out of your mouth is debated. There is a way to disagree that is right, but not to a place where your voice is silenced. That is control, if your voice is silenced. That is what the enemy is after.

Last fall I went to the desert for 6 weeks and got my voice restored. I don’t believe my voice will ever get silenced again because I am onto the enemies tactics. I am so grateful to be moving on to my destiny and helping others along the way!!

Let your voice be heard! Not in a destructive way, you might need more pruning if it comes out too aggressive, but in a loving, truthful way.

Just encouraging you to let your personality shine wherever you go. Don’t give up you for anybody!! Sometimes I have a hard time sticking to this. I start wanting to make the people around me happy, be what they want me to be.

Then I have to remember to be who I am and what God created me to be!! We can even influence people and help them be who they are created to be!!

Lots of times when people are being grumpy it’s because they have lost their way. They are not happy with themselves and stopped remembering who they are and how they shine!

We need to remind them and make it start happening for them again!! My tendency used to be to back off from them if they are being grumpy because it stings. Now I see that I need to come back with speaking who they are and bring it back to life in them.

I am in a new writing class and I absolutely love it! The first thing they had us do was get an acountabilitibuddy… they had a long list of people on there, where they were from, their email, and what their books are about. I love that because it was interactive and that is me.

I picked a lady from Georgia, she and I are matched so perfectly. She has a prayer network and is praying for me in all areas of life. I am so grateful for that! I am doing the same for her!! I ran into something the other day and she was just the voice I needed to hear.

Writing the book is pretty challenging for me, so I haven’t been writing here as much! I will keep you posted what’s going on and I am going to have a private launch page on Facebook so a group of people can help me get it launched.They are teaching me every little thing step by step!!

I also just talked to a young lady that goes to the local college that will help me transcribe, use Word, and put things on a hard drive!! Woo hoo!! Coming together!!

I thank you all for reading and giving me feedback and support! I do feel that writing is one of the ways that I can share my experience, strength, and hope with others.

Keep pursuing you, and what you were put here for. It could be a very simple thing for today, like being a Mom, in your workplace, or where you go to church.

Nothing is wasted. You shining where you are meant to be, can open up doors down the road that you can’t imagine.
