#Mindsets…

Just recently someone did an interview with me on a blogpost…mainly it was about mindsets. It made me think about the way changing my #mindset has actually changed my life.

When I got raped at knifepoint, I could be a victim to that for life and get lots of sympathy about it. Instead, I chose to forgive the person, and realize that he is a victim to something way worse than I have ever experienced or he would not be going around doing something like this. In forgiving, I let go of a whole truckload of baggage I could have been carrying around on my back!

I received an education from walking through this trauma to be able to help others. I understand what it feels like to walk through something like that. It rocks and shakes your world… but it can rock and shake your world into something that makes you stronger! Any hard thing that we go through gives us the power to rise above and be stronger… if we shift our mindset with it!

This may sound like a little meme but if we can really get ahold of it, it is life transforming! If we can find the positive side of it…Example:

1. It changed my perspective about life.

2. It made me realize that I have a life purpose.

3. Made me determined to help people!

4. Gave me an education to help change lives!

What positive things can you find about a trauma that you may have been through? I am not saying to be a robot and not feel any negative feelings. I am saying “grieve well” …. take that grief and let it turn your life in the right direction, with good fruit coming from it! Fruits of love, joy, peace, and forgiveness… not bitterness, hatred, sorrow, and torment!

A proverb in the Bible says it well, ” As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”

I encourage you today to learn how to change your #mindsets around… if you need help I am here! Don’t stay stuck in a place of negative thinking that is taking you no place!!

  1. What resources did d you for nd that helped you grieve well? Thank you from being brave with your mission and finding purpose in the darkness to bring light and hope to others!

    1. Thanks! There are many resources to learn how to grieve well. I don’t know if you have read my book:

Shift Happens: Turning Your Stumbling Blocks Into Stepping Stones
Many things are in there about turning negative situations into positive ones. That is what I meant about grieving well… turning things around… instead of bad things taking you down, use your mishap to set others free❣️
If you google “Grieve Well” you will see many articles showing up about it that look like what I’m talking about also❣️
